Slightly tangential to Adolescent obesity AAP but NeuroNate reminded me — has the insurance landscape changed recently?
I know it is not exactly on-topic but it seems related enough to ask here rather than starting a new thread. Apologies if this has been covered — I did search first.

This is exactly right. anna.melb_AU articulated what I have been trying to explain to my friends for months. The Adolescent obesity AAP aspect is what made the difference for me.
Adding my data to this Adolescent obesity AAP discussion:
| Metric | Baseline | Month 5 | Month 6 |
|---|---|---|---|
| Weight | 264 lbs | 219 lbs | 209 lbs |
| A1C | 6.8% | 6.0% | 5.2% |
| hsCRP | 8.0 | 4.0 | 0.6 |
Protocol: Semaglutide 1.7mg/wk, resistance training 3x/wk, protein 1.6g/kg/day.
