Just had to share this with someone who would understand — is there a ceiling effect for.

Got my latest A1C and I am genuinely emotional right now. 12 months in and the progress is real.

Details in the comments but wanted to start this thread because I think others going through the same thing need to see that it works.

Dr.ObesityMed's experience with Is there a ceiling effect resonates deeply with mine. I went through almost the identical process — starting dose, titration timeline, side effects, everything.

The main difference: I am on a different medication. But the overall trajectory has been remarkably similar. Down 55 lbs in 10 months.

One thing I would add that Dr.ObesityMed did not mention: my sleep quality improved dramatically.

Thanks for sharing this, Dr.ObesityMed. A few questions about your Is there a ceiling experience:

  1. What dose are you currently on?
  2. How long before you noticed significant changes?
  3. Did your doctor have any specific recommendations about Is there a ceil?

I am in a similar boat and trying to learn from others' experiences before my next appointment.

OP here — wow, did not expect this much response! Thank you all for the thoughtful replies on Is there a ceiling effect.

To answer fiona_glasgow: I started tracking everything in a spreadsheet from day 1.

Quick update: I will post a proper update thread soon. Thanks again for the evidence-based discussion — this is exactly why I posted in a science-based community. 🙏
