Hot take: I train ON injection day and the day after, deliberately. My reasoning is that mild nausea doesn't affect my lifting performance — it's uncomfortable but I can still squat. And exercise actually seems to reduce my nausea. Something about blood flow or endorphins, I dunno.

Not saying this would work for everyone but don't automatically assume injection days are write-offs. Try a light session and see how you feel. You might surprise yourself.

Respect for the dedication but I literally dry-heaved doing squats the day after my injection once so I think our experiences may differ 😂 Bodies are weird.

That does work for some people! Individual variation is huge with GLP-1 side effects. Some clients barely notice injection days, others are completely floored. The key message is: listen to your body, track your patterns, and schedule accordingly.

One thing I'd add — as you titrate up to higher doses, the side effect pattern may change. Some people find the "bad" window gets shorter as their body adjusts. Others find it gets longer at higher doses. Re-evaluate your training schedule whenever you change doses.

The Friday evening injection idea is solid. Report back on how it goes if you switch!

Update: talked to my doctor, switching to Friday evening injections starting this week. Will do a Mon/Tue/Thu training split and keep weekends for light walking and recovery. Feeling optimistic about this. Thanks for all the input everyone! 🙌
