De novo lipogenesis reduction on is not that straightforward in my experience

This is exactly right. BethLabQueen articulated what I have been trying to explain to my friends for months. The De novo lipogenesis aspect is what made the difference for me.

Reading this thread on De novo lipogenesis hits close to home. Dad of 2 checking in — I started at 293 lbs and felt like I would tried everything.

9 months on tirz and I am a different person. Not just the 68 lbs lost — my energy, my mood, my relationship with food. All transformed.

If you are on the fence about De novo lipogenesis — take the leap. It was the best health decision I have ever made. ❤️

Dr.DermMIA — that is really helpful context on De novo lipogenesis. Follow-up question: how long did you wait before increasing your dose?

I am in a similar situation (week 4) and trying to set realistic expectations.

To answer kevin_tulsa's question specifically:

From a clinical standpoint, De novo lipogenesis reduction is a reasonable concern that deserves a thorough answer.

The short answer: the evidence supports this approach for most patients.

The longer answer involves reviewing the specific clinical trial data relevant to your question, which I am happy to elaborate on if helpful.
