Slightly tangential to Delayed gastric emptying but chris_chi24 reminded me — what is the latest on the oral formulations?

I know it is not exactly on-topic but it seems related enough to ask here rather than starting a new thread. Apologies if this has been covered — I did search first.

Want to share my personal experience related to Delayed gastric emptying when since I think it might help others in a similar situation.

I started my GLP-1 journey in October 2024 at 264 lbs with prediabetes and hypertension. My endocrinologist prescribed semaglutide 0.25mg to start.

Now, 18 months later: I am down 39 lbs, my labs have normalized, and I am off 2 of my 3 medications. The Delayed gastric aspect specifically was something that made a big difference in my journey.

This community helped me every step of the way.

Slightly tangential to Delayed gastric emptying but AmyNC_wife reminded me — has the insurance landscape changed recently?

OP here — wow, did not expect this much response! Thank you all for the thoughtful replies on Delayed gastric emptying .

To answer Dr.GastroMayo: I get my labs done through Quest every 3 months.

Quick update: my latest labs came back even better. Thanks again for the evidence-based discussion — this is exactly why I posted in a science-based community. 🙏
