Tell your mom there's no shame in treating a disease with medication. That's literally what medicine is for. I waited 3 years longer than I should have because of stigma, and those were 3 years of uncontrolled diabetes doing damage to my body that may not be fully reversible.
The earlier you intervene, the better the outcomes. Encourage her to talk to her doctor.

This thread should be required reading. Adding it to our FAQ pinned post under "is this just a weight loss drug?"
The answer, as this data makes crystal clear, is no. It's a metabolic restoration drug that also causes weight loss.
