Reading this thread on My cardiologist just hits close to home. Night shift nurse — I started at 295 lbs and felt like I would tried everything.

This is exactly right. lisa_labSD articulated what I have been trying to explain to my friends for months. The My cardiologist just aspect is what made the difference for me.
