Anyone else dealing with 5mg doing nothing - should i from a cost perspective?

I have been paying $280/month and I am trying to get insurance to cover it.

To answer the question about 5mg doing nothing - should I ask to go up? — in my experience this comes down to a few key factors.

I have been dealing with this for over a year now, and what I have found is that individual responses really do vary. That said, the general consensus on 5mg doing nothing - should I seems solid.

What specifically worked for me: getting baseline labs before making any changes. I would suggest nick_newbie try the same approach and reporting back.

Completely agree with PurityPaulOR. I would add that 5mg doing nothing - should I also has implications for long-term metabolic health that sometimes get overlooked in these discussions.

In my case, following a similar approach led to significant improvements compared to what I was doing before.

As a pharmacist, I want to add some clinical context to this discussion on 5mg doing nothing - should I ask to go.

Building on what nick_newbie said — the evidence base here is robust. The key publications to reference are from the FLOW program[1].

Key clinical points:

  1. Efficacy is dose-dependent and typically requires 4-5 weeks to reach steady state
  2. Side effect profile is predictable and usually manageable with standard protocols
  3. Monitoring should include baseline labs and follow-up at 3-month intervals
  4. Patient education significantly improves outcomes and adherence

Standard disclaimer: this is educational, not individualized medical advice.
