Another option nobody mentioned — some people split their dose when going up. Instead of one 12.5mg shot, they do a 7.5 + 5 split (one shot, two injection sites, same day). My endo actually suggested this and it dramatically reduced my GI sides when titrating up.

Obviously this only works with vials/compound, not the auto-injector pens. But worth asking about if you do decide to go higher eventually.

Not medical advice, just sharing what worked for me

Just want to flag — dose splitting is an off-label strategy that doesn't have clinical trial support. It makes pharmacokinetic sense (slower absorption = fewer GI effects), but the concentration-time curve will be different from what was studied. Some providers are fine with it, others aren't. Definitely don't do this without discussing with your prescriber.

One more thing I forgot to mention — when I went to 15mg, I started taking my injection at night before bed instead of in the morning. Game changer. You sleep through the worst of the initial nausea window. Someone on here suggested it months ago and it really helped me.

Also seconding the omeprazole tip if you get reflux. Talk to your doc about it, low dose OTC omeprazole for the first 2-3 weeks of a new dose was clutch for me. 💊
