That's fair Eric. I'm currently at 1.0mg and I was planning to go to 1.7mg anyway. Maybe I should try the standard titration to 1.7mg first and see if the wearing-off resolves before I complicate things with split dosing.
That's a very sensible plan. Try the straightforward approach first. If at 1.7mg once weekly you still experience significant late-week wearing off, then splitting would be a logical next step to discuss with your provider.
The other option I've seen used is a slight dose asymmetry — for example, 1.0mg on one day and 0.7mg three days later. Some providers have found this helps maintain levels without the sharp peak of a single large dose. But again, very much individualized and off-label.
