+1. This mirrors my journey exactly. The Steady-state discussion here is so valuable.

Dad of 2 checking in — I started at 297 lbs and felt like I would tried everything

I respect roxy_nash perspective but I think this oversimplifies things a bit. Re: Steady-state concentrations — the subgroup analyses show meaningful heterogeneity.

I am not saying roxy_nash wrong entirely — just that the picture is more nuanced than a blanket statement. The SURMOUNT data specifically shows baseline BMI-dependent responses.

Reading this thread on Steady-state hits close to home. Night shift nurse — I started at 283 lbs and felt like I would tried everything.

9 months on tirz and I am a different person. Not just the 58 lbs lost — my energy, my mood, my relationship with food. All transformed.

If you are on the fence about Steady-state — take the leap. It was the best health decision I have ever made. ❤️

Bookmarked 📌 The Steady-state info in this thread is essential. Coming back to this for sure.

JenMemphis — that is really helpful context on Steady-state. Follow-up question: did you change anything about your diet at the same time?

I am in a similar situation (month 2) and trying to set realistic expectations.
