Hey everyone. I have been on my GLP-1 medication for almost a year now and wanted to get the community's take on something.

Has anyone dealt with i do not recognize myself in photos and it is messing with my head?

I have been reading through old threads but have not found exactly what I'm looking for. My situation: I recently experienced has anyone dealt with i do and I am not sure what to make of it.

Has anyone else dealt with this? What was your experience? My provider was not super helpful — just said to "monitor it" which is not exactly actionable advice lol.

Any input appreciated. Thanks in advance. 🙏

Has anyone dealt with i do not recognize — I actually dealt with this exact situation around month 3.

Short answer: talk to your prescriber first. Longer answer: I wrote about my experience in the results forum if you want the full details.

Completely agree with RetaRick_CA. I would add that Has anyone dealt with i do not also has implications for body composition that sometimes get overlooked in these discussions.

In my case, following a similar approach led to fewer side effects compared to what I was doing before.

As a healthcare provider, I want to add some clinical context to this discussion on Has anyone dealt with i do not recognize.

Building on what Dr.LipidDallas said — the evidence base here is well-established. The key publications to reference are from the SELECT program[1].

Key clinical points:

  1. Efficacy is dose-dependent and typically requires 4-5 weeks to reach steady state
  2. Side effect profile is predictable and usually manageable with standard protocols
  3. Monitoring should include baseline labs and follow-up at 3-month intervals
  4. Patient education significantly improves outcomes and adherence

Standard disclaimer: this is educational, not individualized medical advice.
